Joshua A. Hall-Lagos
President, Executive
Josh is a HDR candidate at Macquarie University. Having completed his Master's thesis in Greek Lexicography in 2025, he is exploring Postclassical Greek Prose, with particular interest in historical writings. He currently serves as the President of PALAIA as well as running Greek reading groups.

Gabriel Jower
Co-founder, Executive
Gabriel graduated from Macquarie with a Bachelor of Ancient History in 2023 and is currently an independent researcher working on the many varieties of Postclassical Greek (c. 3C BC - 6C AD). His current focus is the application of lexicography to explore questions of social history in Graeco-Roman society. Gabriel co-founded PALAIA in 2024 and currently acts in the executive, running reading groups on Hittite and Ancient Greek.

Ciaran McAliece
Co-founder, Executive
Ciaran completed a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Ancient Languages and Greece, Rome and Late Antiquity in 2021 at Macquarie University. They have studied Latin, Ancient Greek and Biblical Hebrew. They co-founded PALAIA in 2024, are a member of the executive, and run the Latin reading group.

Claire Tompsett
Executive
Claire is an undergraduate at Macquarie University. She is currently finishing her Bachelor of Arts with Ancient History major and Ancient Greek and Latin minors. Claire runs the Coptic reading group, and is one of PALAIA's executives.

Levi Bak
Executive
Levi completed his Master of Research at Macquarie University in 2024 specialising in Postclassical Greek lexicography, which remains his primary research interest. During his undergraduate he also studied Latin, Biblical Hebrew, and smatterings of Coptic and Hieroglyphic Egyptian. He currently runs the Biblical Hebrew reading group, and also forms part of the PALAIA executive team.
