Sanskrit, alongside Greek and Latin, is one of the three most historically significant ancient Indo-European languages. It is the language in which the most significant texts of Hinduism were composed, including in particular the epic poems the Ramayana and the Mahabharata.

Prerequisites: Attendees should have experience with at least one other ancient Indo-European language, such as Greek or Latin. However, no prior experience with Sanskrit is required! Texts will be read in the Devanagari script, which will be taught during sessions.
